Heavy things, made light.
Marble on Glass was founded on a single contradiction: the oldest, heaviest material we know, held up by the lightest and clearest.
We design and edit sculptural furniture in natural marble, paired with tempered glass and optical acrylic. Each piece is produced to order in a specialist stone atelier, where slabs are selected, cut, polished and assembled by hand.
Our collections are deliberately small. We would rather offer twenty-two pieces we love than two hundred we tolerate — and make each one for a single home, rather than for a warehouse.
Principles
- Natural stone only
We work exclusively with natural marble. Every slab is different, and every piece is therefore unique.
- Transparency as material
Tempered glass and optical acrylic are chosen to disappear, so the stone can speak.
- Made for one home
Nothing is mass-produced. Each piece is made after it is ordered, for a single room.
- Delivered with care
Crated and insured for the journey — the last mile matters as much as the first.
